MINING/BLACKSMITHING
Another profitable profession combo is Mining/Blacksmithing. Mining allows you to gather various ores and smelt them into bars and blacksmithing allows you to make useful items of the bars.
Mining’s bonus skill is Toughness, which increases your stamina so it is more useful to pick this as a Tank class character.
Just like any other gathering professions you will have to gather every mine you encounter from the beginnig. As you skill up you will be able to gather different kinds of mines. Mining gives you a skill, Track Minerals , which you MUST have it on all the time, and allows you to track mines on your minimap.
Blacksmithing doesnt profit much at low level. It still makes gold but not as much as when its 450. At low levels, you can make Green items which are basicly designed for Warriors, and Paladins, and sell them on the Auction house. Twinks will definitely prefer Greens to Whites on their Chars so they will buy them.
At 450, Blacksmithing starts profiting really good.
The first profit of Blacksmiting is Eternal Belt Buckle, which EVERYONE needs to add an extra socket on their belts.
You can make tons of Eternal Belt Buckles and sell them on the Auction House. They sell for good prices on every realm. On my realm they go for 35g per one Eternal Belt Buckle. NOT BAD!
Secondly, You should keep an eye out for at least 245 level item recipes. You can either make them on your own and sell them on the Auction House for at least 1.3K to a maximum of 8-9K, OR you can link your Blacksmithing in Trade channel to Craft items for people with their mats for a good amount of fee.
245 Level items can be crafted for around 100-150 g fee and the ICC recipes which are 264 level, can be crafted for at least 250g fee Depending on your Server and peoples demands.
You can also make level 60+ greens to sell on the auction house, since enchanters will buy them if not to use, but to disenchant at least. They can go for a couple of golds buyouts on the AH.
Mining also has its profits if farmed at 450. Titanium is the most valuable mineral on WoW and will remain so untill The Cataclysm comes out. Titanium sells pretty good in Ores or in Bars. And miners can also create 1 Titansteel bar every 20 hours which sells for at least 120g in the Auction House per 1.
You can either choose to farm titanium and sell them in ores or bars (both sell for around 300g per stack), or farm titanium, ask for Titansteel CD’s from people (the fee is around 20g) and sell them in Titansteel Bar stacks in 5, 10 or 20 (which I definitely recommend if you want big amount of gold at once)
Saronite is also a valuable mineral. Some professions use saronite (like engineering) and they will probably buy some from the Auction House, and if nothing else, 1 stack of Saronite Bar has 25g Vendor price. You will encounter many saronite deposits when farming Titanium, DONT PASS THEM! They sell for nice prices in the AH as ores or bars, or you can simply sell them to Vendors for a 25g/stack price.

HERBALISM / INSCRIPTION
Another pair of professions to get gold is Herbalism and Inscription. We have talked about Herbalism before, and now we will talk a little about inscription and how to make gold with it.
The bonus skill of Inscription is that it allows you to make shoulder enchants on yourself when its at 450, so it doesnt really matter what race/class you are to pick this one.
Inscription allows you to make scrolls, armor and weapon vellums and Glyphs.
You basicly gather herbs with Herbalism, mild them with inscription and use the inks you get with milding to scribe. So you will have to gather every single herb you encounter while levelling. Very much like all the other professions, inscription gives its best profit when its 450 but it also allows you to make gold during the skilling process.
To level inscription from 1-450 the fastest way, you can visit wow-professions.com and search for a inscription levelling guide. The best guides are in that site!
Coming to the important parts of this profession: Making gold.
Inscription basicly profits from the Glyphs, but not all glyphs cost good in the Auction House.
Instead of making every glyph you can, focus more on the glyhps people will HAVE to buy. For example Minor Glyphs which are about “your [skill] no longer costs a reagent” will definitely sell well on the AH. Mages dont like gathering Light Feather for Slow Fall ability, or Shamans dont like buying Ankhs for their Reincarnation abilities so they will definitely buy those minor glyhps.
As major glyphs, you should focus on the glyphs which class/specs should Definitely have to be a good Tank/DPS/Healer. To figure what these glyphs are, you can search Wowwiki for the best spec talent builds with glyphs and focus on making those to sell at the Auction House.
Another part of inscription which makes gold is the armor and weapon vellums. Those vellums allow enchanters to scribe an enchant on the scroll and sell them on the Auction House instead of trading the mats and enchanting them personally. So its basicly easier for enchanters and they will buy those vellums on the auction house.
You can make a certain amount of vellums, sell them on the auction house and make gold of it. Of course like all the other professions you will have to farm some herbs in order to craft goods to sell, and again for Herbalism, you can use the materials you need, and sell the rest on the auction house.
Herbalism Tips: At 450, the best selling herbs on the Auction House are Lichbloom, Frost Lotus, and Icethorn since they are used to make flasks by alchemists, and Crystallized Life can be sold for good prices on the auction house as well. But of course as Eternal Life.
Keep an eye out for the crystallized life you get from herbs, convert them into Eternal Life’s and sell them on the auction house as well. Eternal Life is used by various other professions such as Alchemy to transmute gems.
Basicly: Focus on the commonly used Glyphs, sell them on the AH, Gather herbs, sell those you dont need, and sell Eternal Life’s on the auction house!

HERBALISM/ALCHEMY
Herbalism is the gathering profession of two other Professions: Alchemy and Inscription. We will be giving tips about Alchemy here to help you make a fortune with Herbalism and Alchemy.
Taurens have a racial skill bonus +10 on Herbalism so you may want to consider chosing this for a Tauren character. But its not a big deal. Herbalism’s skill bonus is a Healing overtime effect, so it would be better off to choose it for a non-healer character such as a DK, Warrior, Hunter, and Rogue.
Herbalism gives you the skill to Track Herbs. You must have this tracking on all the time to gather the most herbs around while levelling and questing, Even in dungeons.
At low skill levels, herbalism doesnt give a fortune, but as you keep skilling it up to 450 the profit builds up. At low levels you can use the herbs to improve your alchemy and sell the rest on the auction house with a price of 3g per stack up to 30g per stack depending on the herb.
So Basicly, have your Track Herbs on all the time and gather every herb you can!
And with alchemy you will start off with making healing or mana potions and battle or defence elixirs for your own profit. At low levels you will also like considering making a few extra Healing and Mana potions and all other useful potions such as the Battle elixirs increasing your Agility, Strenght or Intellect and selling them on the Auction House.
People will need those potions while levelling and will want to buy them from the AH. But like all the other professions, Alchemy gives the best profit at 450 skill level.
As you level up and skill up in Alchemy, you will begin to make more powerfull elixirs. Sell every thing which you will not need while levelling on the Auction house untill you have 450 skill level.
At a skill level of 325, you will be able to choose of the 3 masteries of Alchemy, Potion Mastery, Elixir Mastery and Master of Transmutation.
Potion Mastery allows you to get greater results when creating potions
Elixir Mastery allows you to get greater results while creating Flasks and Elixirs
Transmutation Mastery Allows you to get greater results when Transmuting.
Our suggestion is Either Elixir Mastery or Master of Transmutation. The more Flasks or Gems you have, the more gold you will make!
When your alchemy hits 450 you can start farming Frost Lotus to make Flasks and sell them on the Auction House. The Best place to farm Frost Lotus is Wintergrasp. (For a Detailed map you can go to www.thottbot.com and search for Frost Lotus )
The best way of making gold in Alchemy and herbalism is the Flasks and Gems. The Flasks are sold in seconds after you auction them, and the gems are something EVERYONE needs. So if you chose Transmutation mastery: Transmute 1 epic gem every day: and Farm Frost Lotus for a while when you think you have enough flasks to earn gold.
Dont forget to take the Transmutation Quest from the Alchemy Master in Dalaran. That will allow you to make Cardinal Ruby which Alchemy.
When transmuting you should feel free to buy the mats for the epic gems since the profit will cover that up and even bring gold into your backpack. For Cardinal Ruby for example: Eternal fire is around 30g, and Scarlet ruby is the same, so spending 60g and you will earn at least 170g from the Cardinal Ruby on Ah. That means 110 g profit. Not Bad!
You can also consider getting the gems cut before you sell them to make even more profit. There are loads of Jewelcrafters to cut a gem for 10g so basicly for example for a Runed Scarlet Ruby, you will spend 60+10= 70 g and earn around 220g from it = 150g profit in total!
IF you have Elixir Mastery, what you can do is quite simple. Farm frost lotus, make flasks and sell them on AH.
And while farming frost lotus you will find a great amount of Frozen Herb, Icethorn and Lichbloom. You might also want to consider selling them as stacks on the AH after using the amount you need for flasks
Icethorn has a 20g/stack price on my server and if you ask me, its not bad at all! Since you will gather around 100 icethorns after farming for 1 hour.

PROFESSIONS
Now we will be giving you some useful information about how to combine your professions and make a fortune out of it! And since every gathering profession has its own bonus skill: We will also be talking about the best class/profession combinations as well.
SKINNING/LEATHERWORKING
Skinning is the best gathering profession to combine with leatherworking. Since the items you craft in LW requires a big amount of leather, Skinning will help you out. You basicly skin the corpses of Beasts with skinning to gather leather and you would want to level in places with a big amount of Beast kind mobs
Skinning’s bonus skill is Master of Anatomy: Increases critical strike rating. So basicly you can pick these professions with any class which might use a little more critical strike rating.
But to be able to actually USE and sell the good epic crafts when you level your profession to 450: we would suggest you to pick this profession with a Rogue, Hunter, Shaman or Druid. Leatherworkers only craft Leather and Mail items so it would be useless for your own item benefit if you pick this profession with a cloth or plate wearer class.
Leatherworking also has its own enchants which only the Leatherworker can Profit such as Enchants on Bracers which give extra 130 Attack Power , 102 Stamina or 70 Spell Power. So Hunters, Rogues, Shamans and Druids will be the classes to profit the most of Leatherworking profession.
And coming to the gold-earning part:
From 1 to 450 skill level, skinning allows you to save some leather to level your Leatherworking and also allows you to sell the rest in the Auction House. Some other professions also require Leather every once in a while and people will HAVE to buy some from the Auction House. For Example to make Boots in Tailoring: the tailor needs the leather as well as cloth.
Skin every beast you slay. Even in Dungeons! And after being done with that kind of leather in Leatherworking: Sell the rest on the auction house. Do this untill you are level 80 and your both professions are 450.
After hitting 450, you will be able to gather Arctic Fur from beasts with a rare drop rating. Arctic Fur is a rare leather used in Various professions including Leatherworking
. To be able craft the Epic goods of Leatherworking you will need approximately 5-8 Arctic Fur depending on the recipe. Keep an eye out for the Beasts in dungeons and gather as much as arctic fur you can.
Another thing to be farmed in skinning is Borean Leather. It has a good selling price in the Auction House and is easy for you to skin.
And for Leatherworking: Keep an eye out for the epic recipes which drops from certain Raids. (To see what raids drop recipes you would like the addon AtlasLoot) These recipes are Bind On Equip items and are sellable.
After Having a few epic recipes (Dont bother for epic items below level 245 since they wont be much profit) you can either craft these items yourself and sell them on AH with at least 1.5K Gold price to a maximum of 5-6K gold, you can also Craft them for people with a certain amount of fee with their mats. (For example in my Server the 245 epics require 100 gold fee to craft, and 264 level epics require 400 gold Fee to craft. Not bad at all!)
Leatherworkers also make Leg Enchants which sell for a really nice price in the Auction House. Whenever you have the mats, Make the most commonly used Leg Enchants and sell them on the auction house!
Some certain classes especially Tanks will need the Leg Enchants and will buy them from AH. Those enchants have a price around 150g to a Maximum of 350g depending on the server. And the leg enchants which give Stamina + Resillience are an excellent material for PVPers. They will certainly buy those from the Auction House!
So basicly, go out skinning farming every once in a while for Borean Leather, Keep an eye out for Arctic Fur from dungeon&Raid beasts, and definitely go raiding for the epic item recipes! Spam your leatherworking skill in trade and people will /w you with the item they want to be crafted. Offer a reasonable fee and earn gold!

GENERAL TIPS
We Will start by giving you a few general tips about making gold easy, efficient and fast. These arent all necessary to follow but you should at least keep them in mind while you are playing the game, so that you wouldnt waste your time on doing the wrong things to make gold in the first place.
*Get the Auctioneer AddOn! This AddOn will help you maximize your profit from the AH when you learn to use it (Visit their forums to learn more about the AddOn) (You can download all the WoW AddOns from www.curse.com )
*Complete every quest you can. Quests are not only a way to level fast but also a way to earn gold and items. (To be able to complete quests quicker, we suggest you the QuestHelper and Cartographer Addon combo)
*Learn how to use the Auction House Properly. Even though it may take some time to learn every single trick of the AH, the profit is unbeliavable.
*Do not bother to buy items for you character untill you are level 80. Since the new LFG system allows you to instantly find dungeon gruops and gives you a Sack Of Helpful Goods which contains one Rare item of your level; You really dont need to spend all your money on low level items. And if you also have the Shoulder, Chest and Weapon Hierlooms your job is even more easier.
*Buy your backpacks as soon as possible! The bigger you have, more money you make. With big bags you can carry and sell more items in a shorter time period.
*Do not take Engineering or Blacksmithing as your professions untill you are level 80 and able to farm all the materials to level these professions.
*Loot every single item you find. You can later on sell the grey and white items to the vendors, and sell the Greens, Blues and the white trade goods in the Auction House. (Tip: Holding down shift while looting will make you instantly loot all the items on the corpse. Saves time!)
*Buy and find Limited recipes. Most recipes can simply be bought from a vendor but is for a limited time period. Limited availability recipes usually sell very well.
*When you are selling items on the Auction House, Always put a buyout price as well as bid price. it will help you sell your items quicker. Remember to always put your items slightly cheaper than the person on the top of the list in the AH.
*Try to get a mount as soon as possible. This should be your main goal. The faster you travel, the faster you make gold.
*Try levelling in areas with Humanoid or Beast mobs. You can always loot coins and cloth from Humanoids and you can skin the Beasts.
*Get the AddOns that will help you through the proccess. (Cartographer, Questhelper, Gatherer, Auctioneer, AtlasLoot are the 5 most important AddOns to make gold)
*True money-making starts around level 20-30 so dont waste your time trying to make gold before that! Level up to 20 as soon as you can, then you will find all you need to start making gold.
