The Long Hard Road To Being Full Epic
Luthîel was finally level 80 but to be honest the gear was crap.
All the blues and greens and the low HP wasnt good. We all know the long hard road to being fully epic..
All the struggle to find Heroic dungeon groups or people who can handle your undergearedness….
We’ve all been there. If you have the right proffesions and a little gold you could make your first few epic pieces yourself but you still have to get more.
We’re talking about the Ulduar days here. The Hardest raid is ulduar, and no ToC or ICC yet.
With the help of my guild, and ingame friends a got myself a little more better in gear but that still wasnt enough as a Tank.
So I decided to respecc as Holy since we all know healers are needed and people will accept you if you can keep them alive in dungeons and raids.
A Holy paladin with 12K HP and 13K UB Mana wasnt acceptable.. I kept grinding marks and got a few epics.
Heroics are the best way to get marks and first epics. Easy and fast.
After a really long while with grinding HCs Luthîel was finally an acceptable holy paladin with 19K UB Hp.
Then comes the first raids. The most exciting part of PVE.
Those days we had Naxxramas, Obsidian Sanctum, Eye Of Eternity and such.
Luthîel kept healing those raids and when the new patch with Trial Of The Crusader came she was ready for it.
After a few big repair bills and weeks, there she was, a decent geared holy paladin ready for ICC.
Now she is (even thought not the best- one of the finest) an awesome paladin with 26K UB Mana, 2.529 Spell power and 368 MP5.
It might seem like a lot of work to gain all those items but if you have the right proffessions, and tips it’s not that hard at all. The new LFG system is also really helpfull to gear up. Just grind some heroics, get some marks and buy items with them!
We will be discussing all the work which needs to be done to become an epic player here.
- Get the right proffesions (e.g: for a paladin BS/Mining can be good to make gear, or Herb/alch, Mine/JC to make gold)
- Start with grinding heroics and get the highest level epics you can at first to improve both your gear score and stats.
With the new LFG system you can go into every HC as much as it comes .. No such thing as “I’m saved” on the Random HC Tab
- Get a friendly guild which can grind old Raids like Naxxramas or has the patience to take you to good raids and gear you up.
- Remember to always take your flasks before going to raids to improve your DPS or HPS.
We will be discussing all this further, stay tuned!

Wow… Also known as WORLD OF WARCRAFT…. If you ever wondered what all this is about, or if you’re already an epic Player…
You’ve found my site! We will be sharing ANYTHING about WoW here in a warm atmosphere.
THE BEGGINING OF A WOW ADVENTURE
You may know me as Luthîel (80 Paladin, Sylvanas, EU)
I am a 19-year-old college student, studying at the Aegean University.
A regular gamer wandering among all of you….
Having a regular life based on school, friends and computer games, I was pretty familiar to most MMORPG games. However I never actually wanted to buy and play an online game untill a friend of mine (Gwen, 80 Troll Priest)
introduced me to the game..
There are various games going on as we all know, but WOW had something different.. Something more than the others.
Something that made it worth to play…
Detailed Graphic effects, features of all the different territories, character picturisations, sound effects, gameplay effects and interractions…..
Everything a gamer could want was just in there!
A Hardcore PVPer, PVEer or a Dedicated RPer… Whatever you like, you could definitely satisfy your expectations of a game in the World Of Warcraft.
Besides all the satisfying graphics, sounds and doables ingame, WoW actually has an epic story..
We all know that the Warcraft Series are the beggining of the World of Warcraft lore. Since Warcraft I, to see how the story improved to The Fall Of The Lich King (Patch 3.3) is simply stunning.
After a while for me to learn how the game works, me and my friends startedto play WoW together. I improved myself, learned all the tips to become an epic player, and unfolded my very own adventure in the World Of Warcraft.
There are various race/class combinations in the game so it might be hard to pick one at first. Trying wont hurt. After levelling a warlock to 70 at first, I figured out all the other races and classes and made my last decision on a Blood Elf Paladin (Yes I am on the horde side >:D ) We always have the time to level another character so making the first decision shouldnt be so overwhelming anyway.
Everything was set. A newly born Blood Elf Paladin: Luthîel was standing there in the Sunstrider Isle, staring at her own future which is a 1.5Year story now…
Levelling was a little slow in the beggining.. But with the help of some AddOns it became quicker.(AddOns. We will discuss all about them later on)
As Luthîel discovered the world further and grew stronger, the game got more interesting.
During the levelling phase I made a lot of friends ingame. I felt more confortable as I learned more and more about the game.
Went to new territories, slayed new monsters, learned more about the lore from quests… That level 1 paladin was gaining power quickly and not more than 15days she was already 55. (TBC days when the level cap was 70)
After more grinding and hardwork she was finally level 80 Prot Paladin but The Lich King expansion was released that night. What are the odds !! Just as I thought everything would start then I had to level to 80 again but it didnt bother me.
More grinding more questning and more hardwork and she was finally 80.
Discovering the new areas on the new continent was thrilling. A snowy, big continent with new factions, monsters and cities.. Fascinating!
But it wasnt over yet. When you are level 80, the game just starts then and we all know it. My little paladin was now going to jump into a whole new world with dungeons, raids, guilds, good and bad times…

Wow….. World of Warcraft….. If you ever wondered what
all the excitement is about or if you are a seasoned player
I am excited you found my site………
You may know me as Luthîel (80 Paladin, Sylvanas, EU)
I am a college student at the Aegean University.
I had a regular life consisted of school, friends,
social activities and some PC games untill the day
which I first discovered the most interesting and
detailed MMORPG game in my life, commonly known as
WoW; the World of Warcraft.
I had been playing various types of PC games in my
life but WoW had something different, something more
than the other games I have played. I wasn’t a person
to actually pay for an online PC game either, until
that day..
I was at my friend’s house to chill out; his housemate
came into the room and logged on WoW. I was literally
stunned when I first saw the game. The graphic effects
were a paradise to gamer eyes, sound effects were
almost same as real sounds, and the in-game environment
was simply amazing.
After getting the shock off of my brains I started
observing the game further, since I had seen similar
games like this before and was dissappointed many times.
As I kept watching him play I was getting more into the
game.
The player graphics, all the detailed picturisation of
the items, environment, small towns and cities were perfectly
designed.
Unlike all the other games I had played, all the territories
in this game actually had a story and features related to
these stories. To give an example, in the Silvermoon City,
almost everything was ordered with magic, because the Blood
Elves (citizens of Silvermoon City) are addicted to arcane
magic, and there was even a broom which actually cleans
around on its own!
The items were all specificly designed. Every single item
had its own appereance and the better the item was; the
better it looked.
Epic items (which are the best) even had their own lightening,
or shadowy effects. Besides the more-than-satisfying graphic
effects, the sound effects and gameplay actions were also
fascinating.
All of the non-player characters greeted you when you interract
with them. Your character could also make jokes, cry, laugh,
and even flirt!
And coming to the most interesting part:
Player vs Player battles and Player vs Enemy events. First
of all WoW had more than one battlegrounds where you could
get in with random players from your battlegroup and fight
on the side of The Horde or The Alliance. The battlegrounds
and battles also had their epic stories.
Player vs player combat was the most exciting I have ever
seen. All races had their own racial skills and all classes
had various types of abilities. You actually had to have
the ability to use all your skills cleverly in order to
kill someone.
The battles gave rewards and with them you could buy
better gear for yourself. It also had 2v2, 3v3, and
5v5 arenas where you can establish an arena group and
battle against other groups. While levelling your
character, you could even kill the players of your
opposing faction if you are in a PVP realm.
Player vs Enemy was a whole different world.
There were dozens of different dungeons, and raids.
You could either go in a low level dungeon to gain
experience or go to the highest level dungeons to
get better gear. You could also create a raid group
with a few more people than the dungeons and slay
the fiercest bosses known in the WoW history.
All the raids had their own stories as well and everything
was rolling according to the great Lore of WoW.
After seeing all these in just one game, I thought
“Finally, a game worth to play for a long time!”
What more could a gamer want? Everything you needed
was in the game and all you needed was a computer,
mouse and a keyboard, and you were ready to start
a whole new life!
I instantly made up my mind and went down to the store
to buy the game, and started my very own advanture in
the World of Warcraft, which is a 1.5 year story now..
