CLASSES – Restoration Shaman!
Restoration shamans are AOE based healers. Aside from being very effective in massive healing, they are also capable of Tank healing.
They use Mail items which give Stamina and Intellect as main stats, and Spell power, Haste Rating and Mana per 5 sec as secondary Stats.
The best weapons for Restoration Shamans are a 1hand Mace or Dagger and a Shield or Held in Off-hand item combo. But if you have the opportunity to get a decent 2hand Staff, that will work out just fine.
After getting a decent amount of spellpower, Haste and Mana per 5 second are VERY IMPORTANT for a restoration shaman.
Even though restoration shamans have the Mana Tide Totem up to keep their mana full, they definitely need some decent amount of mana per 5 second in order to last till the end of a long boss fight and keep the raiders alive.
RESTORATION SHAMAN CAPS
For Healers there arent any certain caps for secondary stats, But we will give you some caps which you should try to reach in order to benefit the most of your Restoration Shaman and keep people alive in raids.
Haste Rating: Around 800 Haste rating will be enough (without totems and buffs) (%24~)
Mana Per 5 Seconds: 600 ( with Mana shield up, but without totems) This should help a lot in keeping your mana up for long boss fights.
Critical Strike Rating: %30 (unbuffed, without talent points added) This should be enough.
RESTORATION SHAMAN GLYPHS
For major Glyphs there are 3 suggestions for you to get for your Restoration Shaman.
[Glyph Of Earth Shield]
[Glyph of Riptide]
[Glyph of Lesser Healing Wave]
With these glyphs, You can either Tank Heal, Or Raid fix without struggling.
But in order for these 3 glyphs to work properly, Remember to keep Earth Shield up on the Tank you’re healing, Or the most Damage-taking DPS while Raidfixing, and remember to use Lesser Healing Wave instead of Healing Wave when you dont need to cast Chain Heal. (it is quicker, and heals enough with these glyphs)
For minor Glyphs, the regular shaman minors will be enough:
[Glyph of Water Shield]
[Glyph of Astral Recall]
[Glyph of Renewed Life]
RESTORATION SHAMAN GEMS
For meta gem slot:
[Ember Skyflare Diamond] is probably the best choice, But
[Beaming Earthsiege Diamond] is usable as well. Depends on your choise.
For regular gem slots you should really be carefull.
For shamans, Intellect isnt as usefull as it was before. So for yellow Sockets:
[Quick King's Amber] is the best choise. More haste, quicker heals.
For red sockets there is only 1 option:
[Runed Cardinal Ruby]
For blue Sockets, there arent any blue gems which are usefull for Restoration Shamans, so the suggestion is either :
[Royal Dreadstone]
or
[Energized Eye Of Zul]

ELEMENTAL SHAMAN
Elemental shamans are ranged DPS based on spells to damage their enemies. They wear Mail items which give Stamina and Intellect as main stats. Elemental shamans dont share the same armor with any other classes but they do share the Miscellaneus items with other caster DPS classes.
The best weapons for elemental shamas are 2hand Staffs, or a 1hand Dagger/sword combined with a good Shield or Held in Off-hand item.
For secondary stats elemental shamans need; Spell power, Hit Rating, Haste rating and maybe some Critical strike rating.
After getting Hit-Capped and having enough spellpower, Elemetal Shamans should mainly focus on Haste Rating to get more DPS (haste rating is VERY IMPORTANT for an elemental shaman), and if its not possible, then Critical Strike Rating should have the secondary focus.
ELEMENTAL SHAMAN CAPS
Hit Rating Required for level 80 bosses: %17 (With Elemental Precision Talent) (With the raid buffs and Moonkin players around you, You will basicly need %14)
Haste Rating Required for level 80 Bosses: %25. (around 800 at level 80) [without Wrath of Air Totem] Without this haste rating your DPS will definitely be lower.
These are the two Caps you MUST reach to be able to deal the most DPS. After getting these capped, and having a decent amount of Spellpower, you can then start stacking Critical Strike Rating.
ELEMENTAL SHAMAN GLYPHS
For the best DPS and benefit of the Elemental shaman you will need 3 Major glyphs.
[Glyph Of Totem Of Wrath]
[Glyph of Flame Shock]
[Glyph of Lava]
You MUST have these three Glyphs to deal the most Damage. Even if you dont pick one of these, you will see that your DPS is lowering down and down.
As for the minor glyphs you can basicly pick whatever you want except that if you have :
[Glyph of Water Shield] you will feel more confortable about your mana in raids.
For the other two you would probably like having:
[Glyph of Astral Recall]
[Glyph of Renewed Life]
These two will save you some time while doing regular stuff or dying in raids
ELEMENTAL SHAMAN GEMS
For the meta gem slot, you will definitely like the Chaotic Skyflare Diamond. You can get 2 blue gems (or Green/purple)
For the rest of your gem slots DO NOT BOTHER USING BRILLIANT KING’S AMBER. Shamans dont really benefit from Intellect gems.
The gems you would want to socket your Elemental shamans items are :
[Runed Cardinal Ruby]
[Quick King's Amber]
This may seem like an uncomplete information but no. The most important gem for elemental shamans is the +20 Haste rating gem: Quick King’s Amber, and for red sockets you will enjoy having more spellpower with Runed Cardinal Ruby. Elemental shamans deal huge amounts of DPS by just using these 2 gems as prior and 2 Other blue, purple or green gems for the Meta gem to work. These all will be enough for you to start rocking the DPS meters.

Every player searches for some tips and basic information about the classes in the world of Warcraft. What gems to equip for which spec, which talent build to use, which item and stats are prior, what glyphs are the best…
So I have decided to make an article series about Classes this time!
We’ll be talking about basicly everything about each class and spec one by one. We will be giving information about every class and everything they will need during their PVE actions.. Here we go!
SHAMAN
Shamans are casters which can either become a melee DPS, Ranged DPS or Raid Fix Based Healer.
They also use totems to enhance their abilities.
If you like playing the game Fast, you certainly will enjoy having a shaman
Shamans have 3 talent trees, Enhancement for Melee DPS, Elemental for Ranged DPS, Restoration for Raid Fix Based Healing.
ENHANCEMENT SHAMAN
Enhancement shamans are melee DPS who use weapons, totems and spells in harmony to defeat their enemies. They use dual-wield weapons, and the same items as hunters, Mail armor which gives Agility, Stamina and some Intellect as main stats.
The best weapons to use as an enhancement shaman is dual-wielded fast axes which give Agility and Stamina as main stats.
For secondary stats, the enhancement shamans need Attack Power , Hit Rating, Haste Rating and Expertise Rating.
After getting your Hit and Expertise ratings capped, you can either choose Haste or Critical Strike Rating as prior when choosing items, depends on how you want that to be.
ENHANCEMENT SHAMAN CAPS
Melee hit required for raid bosses, with Duel-Wield Specialization : 2% (66 hit rating at 80).
Expertise required for raid bosses when attaching from behind, with Unleashed Rage : %17 (140 rating at 80).
Expertise required for raid bosses when attaching from behind, with Unleashed Rage and Axe Specialization (for Orcs using axes in both hands): %12 (99 rating at 80).
Spell hit required for raid bosses: 17% (446 hit rating at 80).
Spell hit required for raid bosses, with Draenei Heroic Presence: 16% (420 hit rating at 80).
Please note that enhancement shamans do need spell hit to be able to hit with spells like Earth Shock, Lightening Bolt and Chain Lightening.
ENHANCEMENT SHAMAN GLYPHS
The two major glyphs an enhancement shaman MUST have are;
[Glyph of Stormstrike]
[Glyph of Windfury Weapon]
The last major glyph depends on the items and talent build the player has, But the most commonly advised and profitable third major glyph is:
[Glyph of Lava Lash]
**Please remember that you MUST use Flametongue Weapon on your Off-Hand weapon for this glyph to work out.
As for minor Glyphs there are again 2 glyphs which you SHOULD HAVE in order to save some time in some certain circumstances. These glyphs are:
[Glyph of Astrall Recall]
[Glyph or Renewed Life]
The third one can either be [Glyph of Water Walking], [Glyph of Water Breathing] or [Glyph of Ghost Wolf], depending on which one you need the most during your PVE actions.
ENHANCEMENT SHAMAN GEMS
The meta gem an enhancement shaman could make the best use of is either:
Chaotic Skyflare Diamond, or Relentless Earthsiege Diamond
Since Chaotic Skyflare Diamond requires at least 2 blue gems, it might be better to pick Relentless Earthsiege Diamond to save yourself from wasting a gem slot for one meta gem.
For the rest of the Gem Slots, We advise you to have as much as Attack Power you can with Bright Cardinal Ruby , and get Expertise Capped with Precise Cardinal Ruby, then spend the rest of your slots for Smooth King’s Amber to get more critical strike rating.
ENHANCEMENT SHAMAN TALENT BUILD
Here is a link to the best PVE DPS Enhancement shaman talent build:

With this build you will be able to pull the most DPS with your Gear.
